About Mr Hans Nagar I am a Consultant Gynaecological Oncologist and Gynaecological Surgeon at the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust, based at Belfast City Hospital and the Royal Hospitals. I specialise in caring for women with gynaecological cancers and those requiring complex pelvic surgery. My clinical interests include pelvic pain, heavy or irregular periods, persistent vaginal discharge, ovarian cysts, endometriosis, fibroids, abnormal cervical screening results, vulval intraepithelial neoplasia (VIN) and gynaecological cancer. I have particular expertise in minimally invasive surgery, including advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery, complex pelvic surgery and colposcopy. I am fully trained in robotic gynaecological surgery using the da Vinci X, Xi and DV5 robotic systems. I undertook most of my specialist training in Northern Ireland and England, with additional training in Toulouse, France, and Melbourne, Australia. Following extended subspecialty training, I became one of a small number of gynaecological oncology surgeons practising in Northern Ireland. My private consulting rooms are at the Ulster Independent Clinic in Belfast, where I also undertake private surgery. I am recognised by all major medical insurance companies except Benenden Health and am also happy to see self-funding patients.
